Feliz Cinco de Mayo!
The Madison Symphony Orchestra joyously honors the music and culture of Mexico in the unforgettable Fiesta Finale concert! Inspired by the vibrancy of Cinco de Mayo celebrations, the evening kicks off with Jos Pablo Moncayo's "Huapango," before Mexican pianist Jorge Federico Osorio graces the stage for his debut performance with the MSO, performing Manuel Ponce's romantic Piano Concerto No. 1.
The evening reaches new heights with an art-meets-music performance of Silvestre Revueltas' suite from the film La Noche de Los Mayas, with mesmerizing Mayan art on display. Finally, the vibrant sounds of a mariachi group will play out the evening, performing a selection of beloved Mexican tunes backed by the orchestra. Happy Cinco de Mayo!
