John Malkovich: Just Call Me God

John Malkovich: Just Call Me God at Overture Hall

Why see John Malkovich: Just Call Me God?

A Tyrant's last stand

Acting icon John Malkovich comes to the Overture Center for a special, one night only performance of Just Call Me God: A Dictator's Final Speech. Written and directed by Michael Sturminger, this intense work finds a journalist and a reverend held captive by deposed dictator Satur Diman Cha (played by Malkovich). Seemingly on the brink of madness, Satur regales the pair with a ferocious and muddled speech, set to organ music, before accepting the journalist's request for one final interview. The ensuing conversation may just decide all of their fates.

A two time Academy Award nominee, Malkovich has starred on over 70 movies, including Dangerous Liaisons, In the Line of Fire, Being John Malkovich, Places in the Heart, Red, Shadow of the Vampire and Burn After Reading.
